What’s better than pizza?
Quite possibly nothing.
If it were up to my kids, it would be on the menu every night of the week.
But us grown ups have to have some variety or we’d go crazy.
So we take the classic pizza flavors and put them into things like Pizza Fries or Baked Pepperoni Pizza Chicken and now this pizza soup!
And thanks to the handy dandy Instant Pot, this pizza soup is a dump and go recipe that can be on the table in well under 30 minutes.
You can’t even get takeout on the table that fast!

- Soup– Jars of tomato basil soup
- Pizza sauce– Your favorite jarred variety
- Mushrooms– Jarred or canned sliced mushrooms, drained.
- Tomato– Diced
- Pepperoni– Thinly sliced pepperoni, diced
- Spices– Dried rosemary and minced garlic

- Garnishes– Mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, and pepperoni
How to Make
Instant Pot pizza soup is a snap!
Just add all of the ingredients, except the garnishes, to the liner of your Instant Pot.
Do not stir.
If you need to gently press the noodles down so they’re submerged in liquid.
Secure the lid on the pot and make sure the vent valve is set to the sealed position.
Cook on high pressure for four minutes.
When the pot beeps, carefully open the vent valve to release the steam in a quick release.
Ladle the hot soup into bowls, top with desired garnishes, and serve.
Enjoy!
Can I make pizza soup in the slow cooker?
Yes!
You can make this in the slow cooker if you have at least 6 hours to cook it.
To do it, spray the bowl of the slow cooker with non stick cooking spray, then add all of the ingredients except pasta and garnishes.
Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 6.
Stir in the pasta 30 minutes before cook time is over, cover, and finish cooking.
Serve with desired garnishes.
Enjoy!
Storing Leftovers
Store leftovers in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
