Strawberry brownies turn boxed cake mix into a berry flavored blondie dessert bar. These strawberry bars are the perfect ending to any celebration!
When the warm weather rolls around I love a good strawberry dessert.
It’s the perfect flavor to match the sunshine and general vibe of the spring and summer.
These strawberry brownies are one of my favorite strawberry desserts.
They have the texture and richness of a brownie or blondie and are drizzled with a sweet strawberry glaze.

They can be yours in 30 minutes from start to finish!
Ingredients
Let’s break this down into two sets of ingredients- one for the brownies and a second for the glaze.
To make the brownies themselves you’ll need:
- Strawberry cake mix– a 15.25 ounce box of your favorite brand
- Eggs
- Butter– Melted salted butter
- Strawberry extract– You can find this near the vanilla extract in most grocery stores or buy it online here.
For the glaze you’ll need:
- Sugar– Powdered
- Strawberry preserves– If you want a smoother texture you could substitute strawberry jam.
- Milk
How to Make
Because these strawberry brownies use cake mix as their base, they are very easy to make.
To do it, line an 11×7″ brownie pan with parchment paper and set it aside.
Then stir together the cake mix, eggs, butter, and strawberry extract in a large mixing bowl until evenly combined into a thick batter.
Scrape the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it out into an even layer with a spatula.
Bake the brownies at 350° for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Once the brownies are fully cooked, take them out of the oven and let them cool completely.
When the brownies are cool, lift the brownies from the pan, grabbing onto the edges of the parchment paper.
Put them on a cutting board.
Once the brownies are ready, make the glaze by stirring the strawberry preserves, powdered sugar, and milk together until the mixture is smooth.
Pour the smooth glaze out over the cooled brownies, and spread out with a spatula in an even layer.
Cut the brownies into squares and serve.
Enjoy!
Storing
Store these brownies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
Tips and Tricks
