Crispy Chicken Fritters
Crispy chicken fritters are a delicious, easy, kid friendly dish. Canned chicken gets mixed with egg and seasonings before being coated in bread crumbs and fried to a beautiful golden brown.
Being from the South, I love any type of fritter recipe.
We make different veggie fritters like corn fritters and zucchini fritters pretty often but fritters aren’t just fried veggie patties.
There are meat versions like these crispy chicken fritters.
And chicken fritters are pretty much the grown up cousin to chicken nuggets.
Sometimes people call these chicken croquettes, which are bigger portions of the same dish.
No matter what you call them, they are a tasty Southern staple you will love!

Tips and Tricks
- If desired you can sub panko for regular bread crumbs.
- Make sure the canned chicken is VERY WELL drained. Canned chicken has tons of moisture. I actually recommend draining it in a colander by using a spoon to press it into the sides to ensure as much moisture as possible is removed.
- Adjust the seasoning to suit your tastes.
