How to Make
These Dr. Pepper brownies are so easy to make.
To do it, whisk together the brownie mix, oil, eggs, Dr. Pepper, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth and glossy.

Spread out the brownie batter into a lightly greased or parchment lined 9×9 baking pan.
Bake the brownies in 350°F oven for 30–35 minutes ,or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.

Take it out of the oven and let the brownies cool slightly while you make the sauce.
To make the sauce, combine the remaining Dr. Pepper, butter, cocoa powder, and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, whisking constantly for about 3–4 minutes or just until it slightly thickens.

At this point, take it off the heat, stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
Slice the brownies into squares and drizzle warm Dr Pepper chocolate sauce over the top.

Serve them as is or add a scoop of ice cream for an extra treat!
Enjoy!

Storing Leftovers
If you think you are going to have leftovers, do not pour the sauce on the brownies that will be leftover.
Then store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Transfer the sauce to a separate airtight container and store it for up to a week in the fridge.
Reheat it in the microwave or stove before spooning over the brownies.

Freezing Instructions
Do not put the Dr. Pepper sauce on the brownies and let the brownies cool completely.
Transfer them to a freezer safe container or ziplocking bag and freeze them for up to 3 months.
Thaw over night in the fridge and warm them in the microwave before serving with them fresh sauce.

Tips and Tricks
- You don’t want to pull out a clean toothpick but one with a few moist crumbs on it. This helps you not overbake the brownies. They will continue to set as they cool.
- To keep the sauce glossy, drizzle it when it is still warm.
- For an extra pop of flavor use Cherry Dr. Pepper.
- If you would prefer a thicker glaze, let the sauce cool and spread it over the brownies the way you would spread frosting over them.
- You can add half a cup of chopped pecans or walnuts into the brownie batter before baking if you’d like.
