Mississippi green beans turn a couple average cans of green beans into a side dish worthy of any table! This vegetable side dish recipe has all the briny, ranch flavors of Mississippi pot roast and will get everyone happily eating their veggies.

These Mississippi green beans are anything but bland and boring.

They are loaded with briny, spicy pepperoncini flavor, along with ranch, and rich au jus.

A side dish worthy of any table from a regular weeknight dinner to a holiday!

And perhaps best of all?

They are so easy to make!

No slicing, dicing, or chopping needed.

Just mix and bake and you have a drool-worthy green bean dish that is a welcome change from green bean casserole.

Ingredients

To make these you’ll need:

  • Green beans– 2 15 ounce, drained cans of green beans.
  • Pepperoncini– You’ll need both the peppers themselves and the brine that they soak in.
  • Gravy mix– A 1 ounce packet of au jus gravy mix.
  • Ranch dressing mix– A 1 ounce packet.
  • Butter– Unsalted butter, melted.

How to Make

These Mississippi green beans are so easy to make!

Just whisk the melted butter, pepper brine, ranch, and gravy mix together in a large mixing bowl to evenly combine.

Add the green beans and sliced peppers to the mixture and gently toss everything together until the green beans are well coated.

Spread the green bean mixture out in an a 9×13″ baking dish in an even layer.

Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes.

Stir well, serve warm, and enjoy!

Storing Leftovers

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Reheat it in the microwave until warmed through.

Tips and Tricks

  • Make sure to use unsalted butter since both the au jus mix and the ranch mix are salty.
  • You can do this with fresh greens beans, but you want to take off the ends, cut them into smaller pieces, and parboil them first.
  • Top them with crumbled bacon or french fried onions for even more of an indulgent side dish.

Ingredients
