Tomato soup ramen is an easy, cozy take on packaged ramen noodles. This yummy comfort food pairs perfectly with a classic grilled cheese sandwich!
I love doing things with ramen noodles beyond just microwaving them with the seasoning packets.
They give you the opportunity to get pretty creative and turn a college staple into something new and totally delicious.
Like this tomato soup ramen.
It’s a saucy, creamy way to use the budget friendly noodles that you can serve for a quick lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
To make this you’ll need:
- Ramen noodles– Any flavor will work since you’re going to discard the seasoning packets
- Butter
- Garlic– Minced
- Tomato soup– A condensed can
- Seasoning– Like Epicurean Italian blend, but other Italian blends will work.
- Heavy cream– Don’t substitute a lower fat milk product.
- Parmesan cheese– Grated
How to Make
Making this is so easy!
To do it, cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions.
Once they are cooked, drain the noodles and set them aside.
While the noodles cook, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet after the butter melts.
Sauté the garlic in the butter for 30 seconds or until fragrant.
Add the remaining ingredients except the noodles to the skillet, whisking everything together until evenly combined.
Bring the mixture to a simmer.
Remove the skillet from heat, then stir in the cooked ramen noodles.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Storing Leftovers
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, but be aware the noodles will absorb the liquid so you may need to add some milk before reheating to thin it out.
Tips and Tricks
- Don’t over cook the garlic. If you burn it, the garlic will get acrid.
- You could add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for some heat.
- Top with extra Parmesan cheese.
