One of the ones that makes me cheer the loudest?
McDonald’s Holiday Pie.

It’s a handheld, mini pie flavored like a sprinkle sugar cookie and only available during November and December.
With this copycat McDonald’s Holiday Pie recipe, you can enjoy this treat year round.
It’s so easy to make and will satisfy that craving anytime.
Ingredients
To make this you’ll need:

- Pie crusts– 2 boxes of refrigerated pie crusts, which will be 4 crusts total.
- Pudding mix– 1 3.4 ounce box of instant vanilla pudding mix
- Milk– Make sure it’s cold
- Cake mix– Yellow cake mix. Just 1/4 cup
- Egg wash– Egg and water
- Sprinkles– Rainbow are most authentic but you can switch them for the holidays or based on what you have.
How to Make
This McDonald’s Holiday Pie recipe is pretty easy to make.
Unroll the first two pie crusts and cut 16 rectangles out (4 from each crust), making sure they are roughly the same size.

Set the pie crust rectangles aside while you make the filling by whisking together pudding mix, cold milk, and then yellow cake mix.
After this is smoothly combined, stir in 1 tablespoon of sprinkles.

Spoon the filling into the center of 8 rectangles, making sure to leave enough room at the edges to crimp.
Close the pies with another rectangle on top of each pie, using up the remaining pie crust rectangles to make 1 top crust per pie.

Use a fork to crimp and seal the edges together on each pie.
Cut 3 slits into the top of each pie with a knife.
Then beat the egg and water together in a small bowl.

Brush the egg wash over each pie and top them with sprinkles.
Put the pies on baking sheets lined with parchment paper and bake them in a 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until the pies are golden brown.
Serve and enjoy!

Storing Leftovers
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Tips and Tricks
- Don’t skip cutting the slits into the tops of the pies. These slits give the steam a place to escape.
- You can substitute puff pastry for pie crust if you want. It will give you a flakier texture.
- Have fun with the sprinkles! Just because McDonald’s uses rainbow sprinkles doesn’t mean you can’t use whatever your little heart desires.
