This time of year it seems like there is an event almost every weekend.

Of course if I’m hosting, I provide most of the food even if we do it potluck style.

But if I’m going to someone else’s party, you can bet it’s against my Southern roots to show up empty handed!

So I like to whip up an easy dessert that I can take to any potluck or party and this candy cane dip sure fits the bill!

You only need a few minutes of prep and a few ingredients and you’ve got a festive dessert that everyone will love.

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Cream cheese– Softened to room temperature
  • Sweetened condensed milk– A 14 ounce can
  • Peppermint extract– For that candy cane flavor. You can buy this in the baking aisle near the vanilla extract.
  • Vanilla extract– Real is always best!
  • Whipped topping– Like Cool Whip and not the kind in a can. Let it thaw.
  • Candy canes– Crushed for garnish
