That’s exactly where this layered Funfetti dessert shines with its colorful layers and party-ready appearance.

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Funfetti cake mix– A 15.25 ounce box
  • Butter– Melted
  • Water
  • Eggs– Bring them to room temperature first
  • Vanilla– Real is best
  • Cream cheese– Room temperature
  • Sugar– Powdered
  • Sprinkles– Rainbow sprinkles
  • Whipped topping– The kind you find in the freezer section like Cool Whip
  • Pudding mix– A 1.5 ounce box of vanilla instant pudding

How to Make

Making this Funfetti layered dessert is easy!

Just  beat the cake mix, melted butter, water, eggs, and vanilla together in a mixing bowl until completely mixed, scraping down the sides as needed.

Transfer the cake batter to a 9×13 baking dish sprayed with nonstick spray and bake it at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle returns clean.

Take the baked cake out of the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

Once the cake is cool, beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar until smooth and stir in ¼ cup sprinkles.

Then, fold in 2 cups of the whipped topping.

Spread the cream cheese mixture over the top of the cake.

Next, whisk together the pudding mix and milk for 2 minutes until it begins to thicken.

Spread the pudding over the top of the cream cheese layer.

Add a final layer with the remaining whipped topping and decorate with the remaining sprinkles.

Refrigerate for 2 hours prior to serving.

Slice, serve, and enjoy!

Storing

Store this tightly covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • The Funfetti layer will be more like a cookie than a cake.
  • Make sure the cookie layer is completely cool before you put the layers on or the cream cheese layer will melt.
  • Don’t skip the chilling time. It needs that time for the layers to set up.

Ingredients

  • 1 15.25 oz box Funfetti cake mix
  • ¾ cup butter melted
  • 3 tablespoons water

  • 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup rainbow sprinkles divided
  • 1 16 oz pkg frozen whipped topping thawed and divided
  • 1 1.5 oz box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
