It’s rich and sweet with plenty of chocolate and marshmallow flavor, but that familiar graham cracker taste makes every bite instantly remind you of sitting around a campfire.

How to Make

Making this decadent s’mores French toast bake is so easy!

Just whisk the eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract together in a large mixing bowl until evenly combined.

Stir the bread cubes, 1 cup of chocolate chips, 1 cup of marshmallows, and the crushed graham crackers to the bowl until everything is coated in the custard mixture.

Set the bowl aside and let the mixture rest for 20 minutes.

Spread the bread mixture out in an even layer into a 2 quart, or 9×9″, baking dish sprayed with nonstick spray.

Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips, marshmallows, and some extra graham cracker pieces over the casserole.

Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes, until the center is set and the bake golden brown on top.

Carefully remove the hot dish from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.

Dust the casserole with powdered sugar, slice, and serve warm.

Tips and Tricks

  • If you don’t want to use chocolate milk, that’s ok. This will work with regular milk. It will just be a little less chocolatey.
  • You can use an equal amount of Italian style bakery bread or another similar style bread in this.
  • Day old bread is best since it will hold up better.
  • Put it together the night before to save time and cover the unbaked casserole. Put in the fridge until you are ready to bake it in the morning.
